About Datable
Datable was founded on a simple but radical idea: that the most powerful determinant of your long-term health is not your cholesterol level, your VO2 max, or your sleep score , it is the quality of your relationships.
The science has known this for decades. The technology to act on it has never existed. Until now.
Our Mission
We are building the infrastructure for a world where your doctor asks about your relationships the same way they ask about your blood pressure. Where your employer invests in your social health the same way they invest in your gym membership. Where loneliness is treated as the clinical emergency it is.
Our Philosophy
In 1977, Dr. George Engel published a landmark paper in Science arguing that medicine had been operating with an incomplete model of health , one that ignored the psychological and social dimensions of human experience.
He called for a new framework: the Biopsychosocial Model. Nearly 50 years later, healthcare has partially adopted the psychological dimension. The social dimension remains almost entirely unmeasured.
Datable is completing Engel's vision. We are the first platform to systematically capture, measure, and act on the social determinants of health at the individual relationship level.
The science is clear: social isolation carries a 29% higher mortality risk , equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes per day. Datable exists to change that statistic.

What We Stand For
Every feature, every recommendation, every insight is grounded in peer-reviewed research. We don't build on intuition , we build on evidence.
We believe the quality of your relationships is as important as your diet, sleep, and exercise. This is not a metaphor , it is clinical fact.
Relationship data is the most intimate data that exists. We are HIPAA-compliant by design, not by compliance. Your data is yours, always.
We translate complex social science into human insights. Numbers serve people , not the other way around.
The best time to strengthen a relationship is before it breaks. We build for prevention, not crisis response.
Social isolation disproportionately affects marginalized communities. Datable is committed to making relationship health tools accessible to everyone.
Our Story
Minh and Juliane began observing how deeply relationships shape health outcomes, watching patterns play out across yoga studios, enterprise boardrooms, and everyday life. The question took root: why does no one track this?
Deep in the literature . Gottman, Bowlby, Engel, Holt-Lunstad, and in conversation with clinicians, the scientific foundation for the Datable DNAβ’ framework took shape. The insight became a conviction.
Developed the core Social Genome mapping system, Jules AI companion, and the Datable DNAβ’ assessment framework in collaboration with clinical advisors. The platform came to life.
Launched closed beta with early adopters. Validated core engagement loops and began collecting the first longitudinal relationship health dataset of its kind.
Raising Series A to scale the platform, expand the clinical advisory board, and launch enterprise partnerships with employers and healthcare systems.
Proudly Built in Houston
Houston is not just where Datable was founded. It is the reason Datable exists in the form it does.
Home to the Texas Medical Center, the world's largest life science and health innovation ecosystem, Houston sits at the intersection of clinical research, enterprise health systems, and a population that reflects the full diversity of America. It is a city where the stakes of health are felt acutely and where the infrastructure to address them is already in place.
Building Datable here means being embedded in a community of clinicians, researchers, and health innovators who take the social determinants of health seriously. It means access to institutions like Houston Methodist, UTHealth Houston, and Rice University's Digital Health Institute as we develop and validate our clinical framework.
And it means being rooted in a city whose people, from the yoga studios of Montrose to the boardrooms of the Energy Corridor, showed us firsthand that the quality of your relationships is the most important health metric no one is tracking.
